Ventilation solutions for skylights and glass constructions
Many different ventilation systems can be used with the Arcolux skylights and glass constructions. After all, ventilation is in many cases just as important as good insulation. There are many options; from simple manually operated ventilation flaps and grids to centrally controlled electric opening systems on wind and rain sensors. Additionally, there are fire safety solutions with automatic smoke and heat discharge systems.
Ventilation for curved skylights
There is a wide range of ventilation solutions for curved skylights. For example, in the form of a flap over the entire or half width of the skylight, or as a flap over just the ridge section. This is also possible in the form of a sliding cover. For Smoke and Heat Extraction (R.W.A.), there are pneumatic and electrically controlled systems in accordance with EN12101-2. These can optionally be combined with ventilation equipment. There are also various options for permanent ventilation.

Ventilation for pyramid skylights
A thermal valve in the ridge or halfway to the ridge is a frequently applied ventilation option for pyramid skylights. An EN12101-2 certified Smoke and Heat Extraction solution can also be installed for a pyramid. In addition to these flaps, it is also possible to equip a pyramid with permanent ventilation in the form of grids or mechanic ventilation.
Ventilation for domes
Dome constructions or dome daylights/skylights can be equipped with a thermal valve for ventilation. In the design, it is also possible to transform the entire ridge into a ventilation flap. The design can vary from permanent ventilation to a certified Smoke and Heat Extraction solution.
Ventilation for monopitch rooflights
A thermal valve can be installed halfway to or in the ridge of a monopitch rooflight. The design can also integrate a sliding cover. Numerous EN12101-2 certified Smoke and Heat Extraction systems are available for fire safety. The headboard as well as the ridge can be equipped with ventilation grids, possibly supplemented by a mechanical control system.
No day without light
Daylight is a sustainable alternative to artificial light, positively affecting your health and the environment. The biological clock functions optimally because of it and it plays an important role in our production of vitamin D. Moreover, it helps to prevent depression and because of the production of alertness hormones and inhibition of the production of sleep hormones, daylight keeps us awake, alert and active.
